In acute shortage of arginine may experience muscle atrophy, decreased muscle strength as well as overweight and even obese. Other possible effects of arginine deficiency is repeated swelling, elevated blood pressure, impaired wound healing (impaired tissue regeneration), lipid disorders, and insulin secretion. Sometimes a failure and liver injury induced by toxins. Arginine is involved in many important, complex processes of life, and therefore it is difficult to mention all the possible consequences of its chronic shortages.
